We want your employees – if they do their work at height – to arrive safely “at the bottom” again. This is why we instruct your employees in the handling of personal fall protection in accordance with DGUV Rules 212-515 “Use of personal fall protection equipment” and DGUV Rules 112-198 / 199 “Rescue from ups and downs with personal fall protection equipment”. After successful participation you will receive a certificate.

Participation fee 129 EUR per participant, each additional participant of the same company for only 99 EUR

3.4 Unterweisung, Informationen für die Benutzung
According to § 3 of the PPE User Ordinance in conjunction with § 12 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the employer is obliged to instruct the insured persons on the safe use of personal protective equipment on the basis of the manufacturer’s information. Such personal protective equipment is “only” available with are provided with a CE marking (without indication of the test centre number). In these cases, instruction without practice is sufficient. Nevertheless, in individual cases, e.g. life jackets, the necessity of exercises should be taken into consideration.

Special instructions are required for the use of personal protective equipment designed to protect against deadly hazards (see also section 3.5).


3.5 Special instructions

In the case of personal protective equipment intended to protect against fatal hazards or permanent damage to health, exercises are also required in addition to instruction (section 3.4).

31 Special instructions:
For personal protective equipment intended to protect against fatal hazards or permanent damage to health, the employer must provide the insured persons with the user information to be kept available in accordance with § 3 (2) of the PPE User Ordinance within the framework of instructions with exercises.



3.5.1 Which personal protective equipment protects against fatal hazards or permanent damage to health? See § 31 of the accident prevention regulation “Principles of prevention” (BGV A1).

This includes e.g.:

  • personal protective equipment against falls from a height,
  • personal protective equipment for rescuing from ups and downs

6.9 Instruction

The employer must instruct the insured persons in accordance with § 12 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and § 4 of the accident prevention regulation “Principles of Prevention” (BGV/GUV-V A1) before first use and as required, but at least once a year. The instruction must at least include:

  • special requirements for the individual equipment components,
  • the intended use,
  • the right touch,
  • practical exercises,
  • the proper storage,
  • the detection of damage.
